Earth

If you have landed here looking for some basic ways to make a difference in our environment here are some of the quickest things you can implement today in to have an impact:

The number one thing you can do? Don’t buy things you don’t need! no more excess packaging, waste etc….it is the easiest tip- it is not only free, it saves you money;)

- Reduce, reuse recycle

- Conserve Water

-Cut down (or eliminate) your consumption of animal products

-Avoid Plastics

- Shop with Reusable bags

There- stuff you already knew and just the beginning- but just in case you needed the reminder: you DO make a difference.

But as you know this is an artist blog about my process and thoughts behind my work- so.. the Earth and my art…

It is interconnected- God’s creation inspires everything for me-

God has already created everything and I am just rearranging some of it

as I try and make sense of this life while hopefully encouraging others along the way.

Nature provides all the color, texture, movement, optimism, risk, and hope that I need to stay inspired.

(This reminds me: you need to watch this on Netflix: “Life in color with David Attenborough”)

There are many ways I learn from, examine and hold to nature…

I like to capture natures quiet moments with the camera,

like flowers on my table

so gentle and unassuming…

or try to paint the color and feeling behind my surroundings..

palm trees and blue skies…the sea nearby

and of course just to spend time looking up at the SKY…

sunrises and sunsets… rhythms of being..

ever present ever changing…grateful to live near the beach

Lastly- central to what I am exploring this year is WATER- essential, powerful, live-giving

My upcoming original series will be acrylic paintings collection focused on abstractions of the water cycle… I can not WAIT to share it with you!
