Springtime Reflections
Well- March's blog post was going to be about Family- and I do have some thoughts and reflection questions about that..
However as it relates to the art that I'm working on- both photography and some upcoming acrylics... everything is connected to SPRING.
New life... beauty, hope, goodness. I've been reflecting on the seasonality of life, & how having something to look forward to sustains through the bleaker times. I find spring a natural time for reflection- looking back over the winter and enjoying natures energy of moving forward to new growth. It is a time of questioning what to keep and what to release.
Questions help me move forward. I'm a Questioner in the Gretchen Rubin personality tendencies and an Enneagram type 6, so.. yeah... a lot of questions spin around in my mind every day-
BUT questions hold a lot of potential- if they are answered with honesty & courage.
Moving forward I will be providing journaling prompts/reflection questions for each blog topic. They are the questions that I ponder while I am creating and steer the direction of my art.
Enjoy, & take your time exploring what matters.
In this present moment- what do you notice that is beautiful?
What is one thing in life you can count on?
Where do you put your hope?
What are you looking froward to this year?
How do the cycles of nature affect your day to day life? ( seasons, storms, plants, food, mood...)
What can you release so that something new can come forth?
What is the first thought that comes to your mind when you wake up? Last thoughts at night?
Fill in the blank ' I want my life to characterized by______'
When do you feel the most excited about your life?
What is one thing within your life that you are dissatisfied with- that you have the power to change?
What is one thing you are dissatisfied with that you cannot control that you can release?
What is one thing you can do today that your tomorrow self will be grateful for?
Now that you've pondered- here are some of the tulip photographs inspired by these reflections and are now available in my shop and some soon to be available on blank cards.
